A largely residential area, Abbotts Barton has lovely green spaces and access to Nuns Walk which is a delightful walk along the River Itchen either towards Kings Worthy and onto Easton, or into the city centre.
Excellent shopping facilities exist within central Winchester, as well as Stoney Lane, where there is a Waitrose, smaller retailers, and Friarsgate Doctors’ Surgery.
There are also great transport links to London by train or road, and Southampton International Airport, the South Coast for sailing and the New Forest for walking and riding are all within an easy drive.
